Northeastern Folk Art’s fresh new look for spring.

There’s a lot of snow on the ground in Newfoundland, but spring is just around the corner. For many of us craftspeople who sell work to shops, it’s a busy time. This weekend is the Provincial Wholesale Craft Show, where we meet with buyers from around Newfoundland & Labrador to take orders for the coming summer season. It’s social as well as work, since most of us work in relative solitude and welcome the chance to see what everyone’s been doing.

The weather has made outdoor firing a next to impossible task, but luckily we have enough inventory of samples to entice buyers into our booth.

Until warmer times, here’s a picture of spring in Terra Nova; it will come eventually.

Forget not that the earth delights to feel your bare feet and the winds long to play with your hair. ~ Khalil Gibran
